Future Investment

Mansfield-based Future Products has just invested in a new Urban 8-head welder and an Urban 2-head automatic corner cleaner from longstanding machinery partner, Promac Group.

The machines ordered were an Urban AKS6105-8 35/27 8-head welder and an Urban SV815/4 2-head automatic corner cleaner. These machines will go straight into the production facility at Mansfield and is part of an on-going investment programme at the company. Indeed, chairman Dennis Thorpe has been dealing with Promac for over 20 years and feels that the expertise and support clearly sets the company apart from other machinery suppliers.

Future Products manufactures casement windows; composite doors; fully reversibles; vertical sliders and the Global conservatory roofs. In addition the company also carries out glass processing and door panel manufacturing.

Sales are currently up 20% in the first quarter and are approaching the 950 frames per week mark, something which Dennis puts down to investment in both machinery and the right business partners. He comments: ‘Our success in the market can be primarily due to the quality products and service. As a business we've built a great reputation and this latest machinery will help enhance our position as a leading, quality-led fabricator.’

Jamie Munday, sales manager at Promac concluded: ‘If you want to improve your level of product quality, benefit from increased automation and lower your labour costs then you can enjoy similar levels of success to Future Products. The company is a perfect example of what tomorrow's fabricator needs in terms of machinery and operational efficiencies.’
