Phoenix Door Panels Secures Major New Contract

Commitment to product quality and customer service has secured a major new contract for Phoenix Door Panels with the UK's fastest growing home emergency services provider, Homeserve plc.

The Cambridgeshire-based composite door and PVC-U panel supplier is now servicing a long-term supply agreement with the blue-chip national home emergency and domestic repair supplier to the insurance industry.

This involves supplying door panels to 33 Homeserve branches throughout the UK, including Northern Ireland and Scotland. The deal was signed after Phoenix passed an initial trial with 100% success rate to demonstrate the company’s credentials by supplying bespoke PVC-U door panels within three days to branches throughout the country.

Haydon Statham, National Sales Manager at Phoenix Door Panels says the company’s proven ability to deliver on service was key to clinching this important contract. ‘Given that we already had the operations and infrastructure in place, we were able to supply Homeserve with exactly what it needs, and crucially, to the company’s strict timescales. Investment in a fourth vacuum-former and a second CNC router has further increased our production efficiency, enabling us to not only meet, but exceed all our customers' requirements.

‘We're delighted to be working with such a prestigious client and look forward to a long and successful business relationship with Homeserve.’

Mark Aylen, Senior Category Manager, Procurement and Direct Materials, Homeserve plc, says: ‘Phoenix was selected for its ability to deliver a competitively-priced, quality product within the required three-day delivery schedules. Speed in putting things right is paramount to our business and we are satisfied that Phoenix can meet our customers' requirements.’

Phoenix also provided a comprehensive customer support package, which included a customer-branded, eight-page brochure containing over 70 panel choices, grouped by glass design and glazing options.

Homeowners who have suffered a break-in or damage to their entrance door can select a replacement, which is then installed within a week according to the terms of their home insurance policy. For easy reference, all the glazing branch network contact details are listed on the back page.

Every Homeserve branch received 50 copies of the brochure, together with a Welcome Pack and letter personally addressed to the manager detailing delivery schedules and a Phoenix contact for any queries.
