Open New Regional Base In Lincolnshire
Leading conservatory and glazing specialist, the EYG
Group, is to open a new regional installation centre serving the East
Midlands and South Lincolnshire region.
The move, which represents a total investment of around £500,000,
is part of the Hull-based company's on-going expansion programme, set
to continue throughout 2008.
The
company has converted a former car showroom in Commercial Road, Spalding,
into its latest regional centre. Around 30 new jobs will be created -
10 on site and the rest in the field - bringing the total of full-time
staff employed by EYG to around 360.
Spalding will join other existing centres at Scarborough, Nottingham and
Cardiff and the company has not ruled out plans for additional bases in
the next year or so. Joint managing director Nick Ward (pictured) said:
'Our main areas of operation are Yorkshire, the North East, Lincolnshire,
East Midlands, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, London and South Wales and
as our share of the market in these regions continues to grow we have
to increase our local presence to guarantee a top class service delivery.'
In 2007, the award-winning EYG Group announced record total sales of £21.6m.
Sales of conservatories also hit a new peak at £7m while the company
continued to increase its share of commercial and public sector contracts.
As Nick said: 'We don't just sell conservatories and home improvement
packages. We are now one of the leading providers of total glazing solutions
to the commercial sector, working on major projects including housing
developments, inner city apartments, student accommodation, office blocks,
showrooms and schools.
'Opening a base in Spalding will not only enable us to improve our delivery
to the East Midlands and Lincolnshire region, it will help us to expand
our business further south.'
EYG recently announced a £300,000 investment in new vehicles and
machinery at its Hull headquarters as part of its 2008 expansion programme.
