Redesigned
GMI Returns as Online Education Programme in May 2008
The National Glass Association
has announced that its Glass Management Institute (GMI) professional development
programme has been redesigned to offer the most comprehensive management
training in the industry.
Launching in May 2008, GMI's reinvigorated format provides education through
a combination of online instruction via NGA's MyGlassClass.com, interactive
webinars, instructional books, case studies and teleconferences. This
redesign will save companies and their employees both time and money while
providing exceptional training.
GMI's 40-week programme offers the most advanced curriculum available
anywhere to mid- and upper-level glass company executives from companies
of every size and in every segment of the industry. Top executives from
such innovative companies as Harmon, Inc., Heinaman Contract Glazing,
Trainor Glass Co., Decotherm and Viracon have already signed on to help
lead the programme.
GMI's four distinct training modules, taught by some of the leading executives
and brightest minds in the U.S. glass industry, run approximately 10 weeks,
leading to a graduation ceremony in May 2009. The modules include: Bidding
and Estimating; Sales and Marketing and Project Management; Finance and
Legal; and Strategy/Leadership Development.
