Expansion at Arla Plast

Arla Plast AB was founded in 1969 and focuses on extrusion of solid plastics sheets. Today the main products are Polycarbonate, Polyesters and ABS. The company is privately owned and is today one of Europe's leading suppliers of extruded thermoplastic sheet, exporting 80 % of its production.

Arla Plast has a site in Borensberg, Sweden and is now investing in a new extrusion line in Kadan, Czech Republic.

Leif Nilsson, Managing Director of Arla Plast AB said: 'This line will further strengthen our position in the European market. The line will not only add capacity for the multiwall sheets but also allow us to grow with our customers and further enhance our principles of speed, flexibility, service and quality for our customers. Leif Nilsson continues: 'Adding extrusion capacity will mean recruitment of personnel too, in the Czech Republic we have recruited a product manager and a process technician too to strengthen our team. The line will come on stream in the early part of 2008'.

Arla Plast AB has nine regional sales offices and is now adding a further agency in Scandinavia, appointing Erik Frujd as the agent for Scandinavia for Transparent Products.

Mr. Frujd joined Arla Plast in 1993 and has been working in Borensberg, Sweden. During his 14 years within Arla Plast AB he held a variety of responsibilities and strategic positions as Product Manager, Division Director and finally as Commercial Director.
