Over
11,400 conservatory companies... and still rising
The number of companies in most markets ebbs and flows
in good and bad times. Few consistently grow year-on-year. But Farida
Hammad, Database Director of Windowbase, says that the growth in the number
of conservatory companies has remained almost constant in the past few
years.
'We have 11,489 companies active in the Conservatory industry in the Windowbase
database of Conservatory Installers, fabricators and roof fabricators.
The database includes conservatories made from all materials and sold
through many different channels of distribution. The conservatory industry
has enormous potential and represents a real opportunity to make a difference
to the bottom line, if you know who to sell to. The database contains
2,180 businesses involved in roof fabrication, and therefore likely to
be interested in glazing products, 4,257 companies involved in fabricating
the conservatories, while over 10,300 are installing them for the private
home owner, the new build contractor and commercial projects.
'As with all markets, some regions and materials are growing faster than
others. So it's important that this data may be accessed on a regional
or county basis and by activity or frame materials. The information, when
supplied under an updating contract, also leaves users confident that
the research is being done to keep their own records updated at regular
intervals - in simple terms it means that users can target new companies
quicker than their competitors.'
As with all Windowbase databases the data may be accessed for a single
mailing shot by means of labels, or with the full information on each
company's activities held on computer and paid for by monthly subscription
to enable regular marketing activity.
