REHAU Opens New Academy and Workshop

REHAU has officially opened its refurbished Training Academy and Window Workshop at its Ross on Wye HQ.

More than 60 customers from the across the UK were invited to a two day event to mark the opening and take part in the first ever REHAU Golf Day.

The new Training Academy features refurbished and upgraded training rooms which are now among the very best in the PVC-U sector.

Courses are available on demand for customers looking to train their fabrication team in the manufacture of new systems. This includes the REHAU Tritec, REHAU 706, REHAU Heritage vertical slider, REHAU Dimension conservatory roof system and REHAU Polytec 50 composite curtain walling.

Alongside the Academy is a fully equipped Window Workshop where delegates get hands-on training and where REHAU also carries out indicative testing of customers' products.

At the opening, REHAU announced plans to invest in a new weather test rig for the workshop which will enable it to become a BSI certified test facility for BS6375 governing weather performance of windows and doors and to offer the testing facility direct to its customers.

The Golf Day which followed the opening was held at the prestigious Celtic Manor Resort with a great many very competitive golfers taking to the course.

The overall winner on the day was Carl Barrett from Per-fit Windows, with Philip Lewis from Solar Windows runner up and Nigel Thompson from Stormking in third place.

It was also our chance to thank so many of them for their loyalty to us by staging such a memorable and enjoyable event.’

The response to the event from customers including Stormking, E.A.S and Solar Windows was overwhelmingly positive and all say they are already looking forward to a similar event in 2009.
