Safe and Secure - The Rhino from Hurst

With its robust core and impenetrable skin, Hurst Plastics says that the Rhino composite door is one of the most secure doors in its class.

In line with Hurst's efforts to continually enhance its product offering, the Rhino door now benefits from an optional high security door handle and the latest Yale multipoint locking system. These enhancements not only meet but surpass the latest requirements of PAS 23/24 including the new clause 11 which stipulates that the door set must be capable of withstanding an attack on both the lock cylinder and the handle.

The high security door handle is manufactured with a solid external backplate. Most traditional cast and pressed backplates are lightweight and hollow. This makes them easily removable from the door, providing easy access to the cylinder beneath. Hurst's High Security handle is different because its backplate has been fully machined from solid aluminium, which makes it much more robust. It is also bolted onto the door from the inside, making it virtually impossible for an opportunist to remove.

Built to last, the Hurst Rhino now comes with a comprehensive 10 year warranty and is guaranteed not to warp, twist or flake. It has also recently surpassed the requirements of Annex D and has undergone extreme thermal performance testing to ensure that it is capable of withstanding the adverse effects of extreme weather conditions.
