New
FENSA Manager at BBA
The
British Board of Agrément has announced the appointment of Dave
Mechem to the position of Inspection Manager FENSA, taking over
from Peter Maddern who has been promoted to run all the BBAs inspection
operations, covering installers and the manufacturing of BBA approved
products. Dave has been a BBA FENSA Inspector since the scheme started
in 2002. Like most of the inspectors he started out on the tools, working
with the family window firm in Luton.
Based in Barnstaple, Dave has been a familiar figure at installations
covered by the FENSA scheme throughout the South West and brings to his
new job extensive experience of the industry and the scheme, as well as
knowledge of the inspection team.
Daves appointment is part of wider re-organisation at the BBA where
Operations Director Martyn Reed has added the BBAs product approval
business, covering BBA Certificates and other product endorsements, to
his existing FENSA and other inspection responsibilities and Jane Barrett,
originally taken on to run the FENSA inspection administration at the
BBA, has taken on responsibility for administration of a wider range of
the BBAs services to the industry.
