Arla Plast Appoints Ayub Adam as Commercial Director

Arla Plast AB was founded in 1969 and focuses on extrusion of solid plastics sheets. Today the main products are Polycarbonate, Polyesters and ABS. The company is privately owned and is today one of Europe's leading suppliers of extruded thermoplastic sheet, exporting 80 % of its production.

Arla Plast has appointed Ayub Adam as Commercial Director for both Arla Plast AB and Arla Plast s.r.o.

Ayub joined Arla Plast on 1st Sept 2005. He has worked in the plastics industry over the past 22 years in the Netherlands, Germany and in the UK primarily for GE Plastics then for Barlo Plastics and until now with Arla Plast s.r.o. in The Czech Republic as Market Director.

During this period he held a variety of strategic positions: Research and Technical manager, Quality assurance manager, Key Account Executive, Field Market Development manager, Applications Director, Business Director and Market Director for Multiwall Polycarbonate at Arla Plast s.r.o.

Ayub studied at the University of Lancaster (UK) and has a BSc. in Chemistry with polymer Science and Technology and further a post-graduate MSc. in New polymer synthesis.

Leif Nilsson, Managing Director of Arla Plast AB said: 'Ayub has been responsible for the development and growth of Multiwall Polycarbonate sales since 2005 and now he will head the whole commercial organisation of both Arla Plast AB and Arla Plast s.r.o. This will be a great challenge for him to manage a dynamic commercial organisation, he is looking forward to the challenge'.
