Mike Trourbridge Joins Welch Glazing

After six years in specification and commercial sales with VEKA rising to Team Leader, Mike Trourbridge joined Matrixx Windows as Commercial Director and has now joined The Welch Glazing Company Ltd as National Commercial Manager, with a view to taking on the role of Commercial Director.

Welch took control of Invincible Double Glazing, in Manchester earlier this year and now can add aluminium windows to the product range, which includes softwood and hardwood windows, composite doors, 3 PVC windows systems VEKA, REHAU and Deceurninck

The company currently has about 160 sites across the UK working for around a dozen of the market leading house builders.

Last year turnover was approx £13m and with Invincible added to the portfolio this should add another £3-4m.

Says Mike: We already have a strong order book for aluminium mainly in the North West region and the Timber windows are increasing in order value. PVC window market is much tougher. Traditionally we are entering the quietest part of the year for the new build sector activity, but we are able to migrate our workforce into the other areas of production and look for new PVC commercial works for 2008-09.

Welch is based in Hindley Green, nr Wigan and celebrated 10 years of production this year.
