Comar
Climate Active Façade
Low energy directives and internal climate control challenge the design
flair of all practices: The Comar
Climate Active Façade offers a solution.
Aluminium technology and creative flair fuse into seamless, aesthetic
façades with the Comar Climate Active Façade.
Thermally efficient façades and solar shading act as a membrane,
optimising solar gain in the winter and minimising glare in the summer.
This maintains a constant internal environment, reducing the energy
consumption of the building by providing a passive means of solar control.
The available solar shading systems from simple cost effective C-type
blades to aero-foils coupled with Comar's integrated architectural aluminium
systems, will meet the design challenges from the most creative façade
architect.
Correct fixing and interfacing between the structure and the solar shading
is a key facet of the Comar Climate Active Façade. Comar-Duco
supply a range of standard struts, bracketry or, when required, bespoke,
project specific fixings. Comar complete the solution by providing struts
and brackets to fix the solar shading to Comar 6 and Comar 6EFT curtain
walling which includes Comar 6EFT capped, 2sided or 4sided SG.
The Climate Active Façade is divided into three integrated
elements:

Fixing to the Structure
From simple aluminium windows with projected solar shading to complex
automated aerofoils fitted to the façade that 'follow-the-path-of-the-sun',
the Comar Climate Active Façade delivers façades with
function.
The Comar Climate Active Façade frees the design flair of the
architect.
