Rugby Windows Demonstrates its Reliability and Expertise

Leicestershire-based Deceuninck fabricator, Rugby Windows Manufacturing Ltd was commissioned to supply and install the windows in a prestigious apartment block in Redditch in the West Midlands.

The luxury apartment block presented some interesting challenges and an experienced supplier was needed to cope with them. The block is situated near a main railway line, so the windows were always going to need to subdue the noise from it. Different elevations required different specifications and with the building being a timber frame construction, allowances had to be made for movement between the timber frame and the outer skin of brickwork. The chosen supplier would therefore need to have experience of working with sound-attenuating glass and timber frame construction. Not only that, it would need to be able to manufacture over 400 frames to programme and provide teams of fitters when required. The contractor found everything it needed in Rugby Windows.

Over the lifetime of the project Rugby Windows demonstrated all the company’s abilities to cope with even the most demanding requirements. Over 12 months, it manufactured and installed over 400 white side-hung casements manufactured from the Deceuninck 3000 Series. To achieve the necessary noise reduction, the 38mm double-glazed units incorporated special sound attenuating glass to reduce noise levels. The end result is a high quality and prestigious building which meets all the demands made of it.
