Emplas. the Wellingborough based window and conservatory fabricator. has recently launched a recycling initiative for its cardboard and polythene packaging waste.

As a company which is constantly working to develop its environmental performance Emplas has recently purchased a twin chamber compactor from CK International Ltd.

'This small machine has made an enormous difference to Emplas,' comments Dave Lewis Operations Director 'we’ve reduced our skip lifts by 25% saving us thousands of pounds per year in waste management costs but more importantly by investing in recycling machinery Emplas continues to emphasise its dedication to protect the natural environment'.

Commenting on the company's recent acquisition Kevin Johnson, Emplas managing director, said, 'as our business continues to grow it is imperative that we are accountable for every aspect of our operations, introducing a recycling waste compactor further strengthens our ongoing commitment to improving our efficiencies as a business but more importantly our surrounding environment'.

CK International has over the last few years helped hundreds of fabricators save money on their skip costs by segregating recyclable packaging waste from general waste.

With skip costs increasing by 30% on 1st April 2008 now may be an ideal time to review your company’s waste management activities.
