Projects Achieves Q-Mark for Fire Door Installation
GMC
Projects of Plymouth has achieved the BM TRADA Q-Mark for fire
door installation. The £600,000 turnover carpentry specialist offers
a ' one stop shop' for commercial and industrial refurbishment projects.
According to Director Greg Lang, the company decided to target Q-Mark
'to give our clients absolute confidence that their fire doors would be
installed correctly'. GMC Projects will now fit only Q-Mark certified
fire doors - and its first major project will be the internal fit out
package for the electrical control building at the Langage Energy Centre,
Plymouth. This will involve fitting both 30-minute and 120-minute Q-Mark
-certified fire doorsets manufactured by leading fire and acoustic door
specialists CW Fields.
'Fire doors are specialised products which must be manufactured and installed
correctly. Because BM TRADA carries out regular on site audits, our clients
can be assured that we will operate consistently to the highest standards,'
Mr Lang added.
Established four years ago, GMC Projects has quickly gained a reputation
for quality and reliability and can count among its clients Mowlem, Web
Construction, ESA McIntosh, Kier Construction, Plymouth City Council and
PS Developments. With Q-Mark under our belt we believe that we will be
able to expand our market share in the south-west.'
