DDG Shows Excellence

London-based manufacturer and retailer of windows and doors, DDG Group, has been awarded a ‘Showroom of Excellence’ plaque in recognition of its outstanding new customer facility by PVCu profile supplier Kömmerling.

Formerly known as Discount Double Glazing, the fabricator has undergone a complete re-brand as well as investing in a new showroom and also a new factory in the last year. This overhaul of DDG’s corporate image is intended to move the company forward into the future without entirely separating it from its well-known and respected ‘Discount’ history.

Manager Jeya Lachani explains, 'We wanted to move the company away from the ‘Discount’ brand as the products we supply are top of the range and not the present day perception of the word ‘discount’.

'However, as one of the largest and longest standing fabricators in the area, we wanted to retain the association with Discount and the reputation it has built up over the last 20 years. The re-brand, new facilities and related perception of the brand is widening the gap between DDG and our local competitors.'

The new showroom, which was completed in January, is a great improvement on the previous cluttered shop front. The offices have been moved away from the area to provide more space and the display incorporates the complete range of products on offer.

The “Showroom of Excellence’ plaque was presented to Jeya by Kömmerling’s new Sales Director Kevin Warner. He comments, 'DDG has been using profile supplied by Kömmerling for just over a year and was working to accommodate our product into the new showroom facility.

'The finished result is remarkable, the display area is light, airy, clean and uncluttered and an ideal layout for customers to walk around at their ease and leisure. DDG Group is a deserved winner of this coveted award.'

DDG Group’s main business is conducted within the trade, retail and residential markets with a smaller proportion of their work on commercial projects. The company is also currently working on another showroom for the trade at its factory in Dagenham, Essex where it fabricates approximately 200 windows and doors per week.
