Training Commitment Continues at frameXpress

In line with a commitment to provide only the best in terms of products and support frameXpress management has enrolled staff on various NVQ courses.

The on-going staff development and training programme validates the forward-thinking stance taken by directors Stuart Green and Mark Westbrook who consider it a vital element for both the team and customers. This approach has seen positive results with the company firmly establishing itself as a leading fabricator within the Midlands, with a turnover in excess of £6 million per annum.

The programme was initiated by Barry Sumnall Health and Safety Manager with nine candidates at the company who have been registered onto the NVQ manufacturing performance programme which will help to maintain consistently high production methods and also further boost team morale.

Additionally Jason Cartwright has been enrolled onto the NVQ Level 3 Team Leader programme that teaches proficiency in communications and motivational team building as well as man management skills. This will assist Jason in training, encouraging and evaluating other staff members within the production and manufacturing departments at the company.

The programme which for successful candidates results in NVQ qualifications as well as City and Guild certificates, evaluates a number of high level numeracy and literary skills, ascertains levels of strengths and weaknesses then develops the course in line with individual requirements.

frameXpress maintains production levels as the candidates receive on-site evaluation and training which is integrated into a working programme with regular discussions taking place during work hours on the different modules to ensure that practice and theory can be combined quickly and effectively, without disruption to production.

Barry Sumnall comments, ‘frameXpress strives to encourage and train staff to the highest standards and we constantly evaluate all departments as well as new and existing team members. We consider this boosts morale and also greatly benefits both the company and its customers in terms of the support services we provide.’

He continues, ‘The courses, which generally run for 4 months at a time are considered constructive and rewarding by candidates. We try to offer the team as much support as possible in order to achieve their aims and further their own careers.’

Training courses are a continuing part of the frameXpress work ethos and will be regularly initiated in various departments as part of the ongoing training and development programme.
