Arts
and Crafts Style Comes to Doors
As
part of its doors range for 2008, JELD-WEN
has released a new Flock glass design in its ever popular Oakfield 2-light
decorative moulded door. Taking its inspirations from the Arts and Crafts
era, the new glass design complements the modern trend towards arts and
crafts styling, which is popular for wallpaper, soft furnishings and floorcoverings.
Mark Roberts, Product Manager for JELD-WEN, said: 'These doors are very
contemporary and ideal for buyers looking to enhance a modern home or
apartment. The Oakfield door itself is a classic style and the stunning
new glazing option is set to increase its popularity even further. Buyers
are changing their doors more regularly and we are expecting them to become
highly sought after for modern townhouses and apartments where homeowners
are looking for stylish ways of letting more light into their home.'
The Oakfield door is FSC Chain of Custody certified, which means the timber
originates from well managed forests. All the doors are supplied fully
finished and glazed, for quick and simple installation on site. Oakfield
is available with a wide choice of alternative glass designs both in a
traditional and more contemporary styles.
The attractive pattern on the glazed Oakfield Flock will allow light to
shine through, whilst creating a discreet elegance in a home. Oakfield
moulded doors are available in a bi-fold version in addition to FD30 and
FD60 fire door options. The door is also available with a middleweight
and heavyweight core options to provide a better quality feel and reduced
sound transmission between rooms.
Mark Roberts continues: 'Many buyers are looking for internal doors that
are made from environmentally friendly materials, but with no compromise
on style. We are really excited about the impact that these new styles
will have on sales of our popular moulded doors range.'
