Tradelink
Extends the Fleet
In response to changing customer ordering patterns driven
by tougher market conditions, trade fabricator Tradelink has invested
in four new vehicles to give its customers a more responsive and personalised
delivery service.
The
company says that the fleet investment comes as Tradelink bucks
the national trend and sees steady growth in its customer base, helping
to maintain its position as one of the UK's leading trade fabricators.
The four vehicles - two 7.5 tonne Iveco rigid box vans and two 3.5 tonne
Mercedes Sprinter vans - will be evenly spread across its two plants in
Cambridgeshire and Mildenhall in Suffolk.
We have extended our fleet in response to our customers changing
needs, commented Jim Moody, Tradelink Managing Director. The
market is getting very tough and we have seen some customers orders drop
slightly. As such they are now requiring their orders on a quicker turnaround
to ensure a continuous flow of work. We have therefore invested in new
vehicles. It's a 'blood line approach - basically our customers need their
orders quicker. These vehicles will help us achieve this.
As well as our traditional 7.5 tonne vehicles, we have also invested
in smaller 3.5 tonne vehicles, continued Jim. This is for
the delivery of HeatGuard®, our high performance sealed units, which
continue to go from strength to strength and smaller orders.
The latest additions to the fleet are already out on the road, sporting
the full eye catching Tradelink livery and transporting customer
orders all over the country.
