The
Sash Window Workshop Introduces Accoya
The
Sash Window Workshop has just introduced Accoya, a new timber sourced
from sustainable, managed forests and impregnated with a non-toxic treatment
as a new wood for the company's craftsmen to use to make windows and doors.
Accoya is proven to perform better against the elements than even the
most durable hardwoods, such as oak and teak and has a warrantee of up
to 50years. It is also approved by the BRE group, the worlds leading
specialist in the research and testing for sustainable environmental products
in buildings.
Richard Dollar, Managing Director of The Sash Window Workshop said 'We
have a responsibility to future generations as well as our customers.
Accoya meets our exacting standards, as a top quality, sustainable and
very durable timber; most importantly it fits with our policy of constant
improvement to our products and services. I believe that Accoya will be
the timber of the future, providing a superior product at a sensible cost,
whilst also helping to preserve the environment.'
Another benefit is that Accoya comes with extended warranties and is such
a stable timber that windows and doors will require far less maintenance,
including re-painting.
The Sash Window Workshop is a specialist in traditional timber windows
and doors. The Freephone number is 0800 597 2598 or the website is http://www.sashwindow.com.
