With around 70 members of staff, the new company, Berliner Glas
Herbert Kubatz GmbH & Co.KG Syrgenstein, became operationally
active on 01.04.2008, replacing TEGLA GmbH. Prinz Optics GmbH will be
merged with the new company.
With four production sites in Germany, the companies in our Technical
Glass division offer the entire spectrum of glass refinement services.
With the new structure resulting from the merger between Prinz Optics
GmbH and TEGLA GmbH, a Centre of Competence Surface Technology
will be created at the Syrgenstein and Stromberg sites focusing on glass
etching and Sol-Gel dip coating.
Jörg Bannicke, Managing Director said: The new structure will
significantly increase our effectiveness. It will allow us to optimise
our range of services and concentrate on the development of our glass
etching and coating technologies. The Competence Centre Surface
Technology allows us to achieve synergies and thus exploit new growth
potential.
Prinz Optics will at the same time take over the distribution of filters
for lighting applications and design glass as independent distribution
company Prinz Optics Vertriebsgesellschaft GmbH, managed by Peter Röhlen.
