Improvement Giants Choose CCS
Independent finance specialist Consumer Credit Solutions
(CCS) has been selected by two of the UK's largest home improvement retailers
to offer personal finance packages to their customers.
Anglian
and Zenith Staybrite - household names for double glazing, doors and conservatories
- have teamed up with CCS to access some of the best consumer credit deals
on the market.
CCS - which has carved out a substantial niche for itself in the national
home improvement sector and is well known for providing highly competitive
and innovative credit options - has launched a 'monthly charge' credit
product with both Anglian and Zenith Staybrite.
Customers have the choice of taking loans out over typically eight or
five years, which keeps repayments as low as possible, yet there is also
flexibility within the agreement to pay more than the minimum monthly
repayment thereby reducing both the outstanding loan and the total interest
payable.
The package offers a competitive rate of interest and will be particularly
attractive to customers because they can spread their loan over a period
of time best suited to them, making it ideal for those larger purchases,
said Peter Nicholson, Partner at CCS. Also, not many credit lenders
offer finance with various loan terms, giving the product a certain exclusivity
within the market, he added.
Monthly charge credit is also beneficial to retailers. Not only do they
earn commission on the deal but they can also use the finance package
to make their product more affordable to potential customers.Alan Marney,
Director of Financial Services at Anglian - one of the leading suppliers
of home improvements in the UK - is extremely pleased with the business
that has been processed so far and is confident that this new finance
option will lead to increased sales.
We have had very positive feedback on this product. The forms are
easy to complete and our sales staff particularly like the text back service
offered by CCS whereby they have instant access to all the financial data
necessary for providing customer credit quotations, he said.
The monthly charge product is supported by on-site training by CCS staff
on how to promote the finance package effectively, and complete and process
credit applications, as well as ongoing account management.
Zenith Staybrite - a subsidiary of Weatherseal - is one of the country's
biggest installers of windows with a large percentage of its sales involving
consumer credit finance. We have found CCS a very progressive and
helpful organisation with experience of the industry that is second to
none. CCS also provides extensive quality sales training, which we will
be utilising to give our staff that competitive edge, said the company's
Director, Kevin Brookman.
CCS which has offices in Leyland, Lancashire and Birmingham, currently
manages an annual credit managed programme in excess of £150million
and has a client portfolio ranging from independent retailers through
to national players such as Amdega, Hammonds, Betta Bedrooms and Appeal
Conservatory Blinds.
