Success
for Stegherr at Fensterbau 08
There was unrelenting pressure for the sales
engineers on the Stegherr stand at
Fensterbau/Holz-Handwerk 2008, the interest in the new KF-W was amazing
according to the UK distributor John Penny.
The
new KF is a machining centre for cutting to length and end scribing of
wooden components which have already been moulded to section. The unique
design of the machine ensures absolutely tear free end scribing of profiled
components by means of two counter rotating milling spindles on which
are mounted two identical profile tools.
These spindles can be supplied in different lengths to allow for stacked
tooling to be used in conjunction with a programmable servo drive vertical
axis.
The KF-W exhibited on the Stegherr stand had the new tool changer system
fitted which allows swift changes between end profiles and the new software
allows for easy programming without any special knowledge. The machines
versatility can be further expanded by the fitting of a drilling unit
and if required, dowel insertion.
The
new Stegherr KF now gives a practical system to produce high quality wooden
windows from profiled wood without the need for conventional machines
on which breakout is difficult to avoid. It would also allow for consideration
to be given to the out sourcing of high quality solid or laminated timber
profiled window sections, so avoiding the considerable costs of waste
and its disposal when using raw timber.
The full range of Stegherr equipment was shown at Fensterbau including
the KSF2/8 and KSF Mini cross halving joint machines for both plant-on
and full Georgian glazing bars and the new GLS angle cutting saw for all
types of glazing beads in wood/plastic and aluminum.
