8 Predicts Composites as the Next Big Market
Door-Stop
customer Force 8 predicts composite doors as the next big market. In fact,
Dennis Sumner, managing Director at Force 8, has changed the retail homepage
on www.force8.co.uk to focus on composite doors.
We've seen the growth in composite doors from both sides of the
business, says Dennis. We've seen an increase in the demand
from retail customers, many of whom replaced with PVC panels but were
never really happy. Now they can have a low maintenance alternative -
without compromising on quality. Composite doors are thicker and stronger,
they can have a choice of colours including rosewood and light oak to
match foiled windows. Since we've put composite doors in the showroom
we've hardly sold anything else.
So high is the demand, we've moved away from promoting windows and
conservatories first. Now we're concentrating efforts on composite doors.
And it's the same on the trade side. We've seen a big increase in
arched frames for composite doors.
That's why we were looking for a new supplier of composite door
slabs. We've been a Synseal customer for many years, so when it launched
Door-Stop we knew we wanted to work with the company as a supplier we
could trust.
It's been good for our profile bending business as more companies
have to find solutions to arched front doorways. Dennis adds: We
believe composite doors are the next big market.
