Diversification at AWJ Glass
AWJ Glass is one
of the UK's leading sealed unit manufacturers and after substantial investment
the management team has diversified the product range for the architectural
market with highly efficient Tri-seal units that will provide considerable
energy saving benefits to customers.
The
company has established a strong foothold in the North East delivering
high quality products and services that have consistently impressed existing
customers and new prospects alike - something which has been clearly demonstrated
with a substantial increase in orders placed.
The product range is extensive however and with the new TriSeal application
line the company has further diversified the range to include highly efficient
glass units in larger sizes (3600 x 2700) for the commercial sector.
Andy Whitelaw, Managing Director at AWJ comments on the new products that
are now available from the company.

Professionalism is paramount at the company which manufactures products
to both the trade and retail market sectors. The product portfolio includes
double glazed units, high performance soft coat and solar control units,
as well as lead, georgian and decorative options.
There has been considerable interest shown in the new architectural range
with many new curtain walling and façade projects in the pipeline
for 2008.
With the new equipment AWJ currently manufactures up to 3,500 units per
week however it is expected that this will increase substantially to over
7,500 units per week over the next 2 - 3 years with an ultimate target
of 10,500 per week by 2011.
The objective of the Senior Management team is to ensure that all market
sectors can be accommodated and that the product range will be recognised
as one of the most technically advanced and cost competitive on the market.
The high performance Tri-Seal units can be differentiated from other low-E
products in relation to enhanced thermal insulation, which give clear
key benefits for customers in an ever more competitive marketplace.
