PVCAware - is the BPF Aware?

Having read the news that the Epwin Group and VEKA have decided to set up a website (PVCAware.org) to spread the good news about PVC-U, one has to ask the obvious question: What is the British Plastics Federation Windows Group (BPFWG) doing?

The BPF was at Ecobuild with a less than impressive stand. One felt that it was crying out for a BPFWG representative to be a speaker at one of the seminars; all in all far too passive a presence by the Federation. It was left to the individual systems companies exhibiting there to fight the cause and this just isn't good enough. Ecobuild, unlike some exhibitions, is genuinely up and coming and provides an excellent opportunity to get the message across that PVC-U has nothing
to be ashamed about when it comes to the sustainability argument .
