Vista Announces Five Day Lead Time on Composite Doors

Vista Group Plc, one of the UK's largest manufacturers of PVC door panels and GRP composite doors have just announced that the lead time for all standard models in its 'Welcome Collection' of composite doors has been reduced to just five working days.

Vista's Managing Director - Keith Sadler explains the reasons for the change. He says: 'PVCu windows are normally produced within 5 working days so we need to make sure that our customers can install both windows and doors at the same time, thus reducing installation costs (as only one visit will be required) .

'We currently manufacture PVC door panels in a five day lead time so it makes perfect sense for our customers to use Vista as a 'one stop shop' and be able to order both panels and composites at same time for delivery on the same day.'

The company has achieved this significant reduction in the lead times for its composite doors through continuous research and development and by working closely with its supply chain.

Keith Sadler explains: 'we have been working closely with Liverpool John Moores University and the KTP (Knowledge Transfer Partnership). They have helped us to improve our understanding of the production process and introduce lean manufacturing throughout the company. When you add our fully tested and highly specified ranges of doors to our improved lead times, that's a winning package which will keep our customers well ahead in today's demanding market'.
