Glass Invests in Second Cooltemper
The Essex based insulated glass manufacturer Village Glass, have invested
a further 3 million pounds in a dedicated toughening facility, to support
their two unit manufacturing factories.
The new facility is based a short distance from the existing sealed unit
factories, and is purposely designed for the toughening of soft coat glasses.
Managing Director Neil Jesse recognises the importance that soft coats
are playing in today's insulated unit markets. With demand for energy
efficient units increasing, it was important for Village to maintain their
leadership in the supply of top quality products in the southeast.
The new factory has the latest technology in machinery, that incorporates
a Lisec loading and cutting facility, a Lisec KSR automatic arising machine,
feeding onto a COOLTEMPER Jetstream toughening plant capable of toughening
up to 4200mm in length, and over 4000 square metres per day. Having had
a COOLTEMPER machine in our sister company E.S.G. the decision made itself,
says Neil. We require quality and reliability and total service from our
machinery supplier and COOLTEMPER achieve these requirements, which will
further support out domestic and commercial sectors.
