keeps Chipping Norton Glass at the Cutting Edge
Windowlink design, sales and pricing software with 3D colour
graphics is keeping Chipping Norton Glass at the cutting edge of customer
service. The Oxfordshire retail company recently invested in Windowlink's
Vector Plus conservatory package and Focus Plus program for doors and
windows to produce accurately priced quotations for its full range of
PVC-U, timber and aluminium products.
The
new Windowlink packages replaced the company's outdated sales software
explains Scott Cuthbert, Factory Manager and Estimator at Chipping Norton
Glass, We were using another PC-based quotation program but it only
worked with our PVC-U range and we weren't getting good customer support,
so we started looking for an alternative. We chose Windowlink because
its solutions can be tailored to specific product and service needs and
are very easy to use.
In addition to sales software that could be used for its PVC-U, timber
and aluminium products, Chipping Norton Glass was keen to be able to incorporate
its range of coloured frames. We offer PVC-U and aluminium in a
wide choice of colours and with the Windowlink packages we can now show
customers how these will look on screen, which simply wasn't possible
with the old software, says Scott. Windowlink has also incorporated
a sales letter into the customised program, complete with the Chipping
Norton Glass logo, which is generated automatically along with the quotation.
It looks really professional and is much quicker than having to
do a separate letter - all you have to do is print it out and sign,
adds Scott.
Windowlink's Vector Plus and Focus Plus packages feature an integrated
pricing module whic is pre-programmed with pricing criteria and a checklist
of questions provided by the individual user to eliminate errors in the
final quotation. In a conservatory sale, for example, the questions could
cover aspects of the base construction and any extras such as floor tiles
and blinds. The salesperson simply works through the list with the customer
during the design process on screen. The answers are included in the customer's
copy of the quotation as a confirmation of what is included in the cost
and so avoids disputes and costly call backs. The integrated pricing facility
also makes it easy to show the customer what effect any change in the
specification will have on the price. Swap French for sliding doors while
designing a conservatory or select different window hardware, for example,
and a new price can be calculated at the click of a mouse.
