Orion
Switches to SIEGENIA-AUBI
A Devon fabricator is switching production to SIEGENIA-AUBI's
Trident three-in-one window hardware system.
Newton
Abbott-based Orion Window Systems will use Trident to help create a future
proof window system. Now part of the William Stewart group, Orion manufactures
600 frames a week from a purpose built fabrication plant on the outskirts
of the town.
Orion's technical manager, Gary Davies, says Trident meets and exceeds
customer expectations', which clinched the decision to make the switch:
It's new and innovative, it's a highly secure product that is incredibly
easy to fit, he says. We're always looking for ways to improve
our products and Trident's safety, security and egress combination really
stood out from the crowd.
Peter Irvine, SIEGENIA-AUBI regional sales manager, worked closely with
Andy Laird from distributor, Carl F Petersen, to support Orion through
the changeover. Peter says, I'm confident Orion will see immediate
fabrication benefits with Trident. Because it's so easy to fit, it speeds
up the window making process visibly.
SIEGENIA-AUBI launched the Trident last year - the firm's first casement
window product - to deliver a unique, three-in-one egress, safety and
security hardware solution. A hook and cam combination uses security technology
previously only used in door locks to deliver innovative single-mechanism
casement window hardware.
According to SIEGENIA-AUBI general manager Léann Hearne, Trident's
success to date proves the market was ready for something new:
Feedback suggests that fabricators were tired of being forced to
choose between safety, security and egress, she says. Now
they don't have to, and Trident sales support my view that this is exactly
the kind of product the market was looking for.
