Have
Safe Glas-sex with Bohle!
Who said that you could not mix business with pleasure?
Well, certainly not Bohle! Visitors to the company's stand (D10) at Glassex
and GP&T this year will be pleased to find that Bohle is doing exactly
that by freely distributing thousands of condoms throughout the course
of the show in order to highlight a very serious message.
Working
with or handling glass can be extremely dangerous, seeing many serious
or even fatal injuries occur year after year. More often than not accidents
happen when faulty equipment is used due to poor housekeeping and this
is the message that Bohle is keen to promote - think about safety!
Isn't it funny how we are fully aware about the many dangers that
we can be potentially exposed to on a daily basis, and how we are conditioned
to automatically protect ourselves, such as putting seatbelts on, using
contraception etc. But when we are at work you are more likely to put
your safety on the line by placing your trust in your employer's hands,
comments Bohle's managing director Gary Dean.
Bohle's 'Be Safe, Be sure, Use Veribor' campaign has been designed to
draw attention to the safety accreditations of the Veribor suction lifting
range, the most extensively tested, approved and certified range of glass
lifters in the world that has given the purchasers and users peace of
mind for decades.
There is an urgent need for glass and window companies to think
very seriously about safety. Especially when handling glass, where there
are huge consequences if lifting equipment fails.... not just serious
or even fatal injuries, but compensation, fines, even imprisonment for
company owners who have supplied substandard or untested equipment,
continues Gary.
Unfortunately, there are a growing number of fake, untested and
uncertified lifters in the market which simply are not safe to use. If
an accident occurs, the few pounds that people think they have saved is
suddenly dwarfed by huge personal and financial consequences.
The 'Be Safe' campaign has been carefully designed to attract the
immediate attention of people and then follow on with a very important
message - the unintended consequences of not using either product are
very real, concluded Gary.
So the message is simple: there is a duty in law to supply the correct
safety approved and tested product for any application. By choosing fake
or inferior non-tested and uncertified products, companies have no defence
in law if an accident occurs and will be liable for potentially huge claims.
Make sure you are protected!
