New
Development Manager for Kenrick
Kenrick,
the window and door hardware manufacturer, has promoted Martin Smith to
the position of development manager. He was formerly Kenrick's design
engineer, having joined the firm four years ago from Laird.
Martin has many years' experience in hardware design and development having
worked for four and a half years in the development team at Laird. In
his new role, he heads up the development team at Kenrick, which includes
designers, technical engineers, quality managers and prototype engineers.
He is responsible for looking at enhancements to Kenrick's existing range
of products as well as developing new products that offer high security,
whilst being easier to fit.
Commenting on Martin's promotion, Steve Jones, Kenrick's managing director,
said: We are delighted to have such an experienced and skilled design
expert in Martin. He has many qualities that equip him for his new role
and he will without doubt make an enormous contribution towards our ambitious
future growth plans which rely on us having new and innovative products
to take to market.
Martin adds: I'm very pleased to be working in such a challenging
and exciting role. The market is constantly moving forward and we have
to maintain our leading position by being ahead of the game and developing
new products all the time. I'm really looking forward to being part of
it and launching some great hardware solutions in the near future.
