Kolorseal Launches New Application Process

Kolorseal, one of U.K's largest independent PVCu colour coaters has recently launched a new application process for composite doors, cassettes, trickle vents and even frames. Kolorseal says that it has been continuously bombarded by fabricators across the country to colour match the reverse side of composite doors and their components and has recently colour coated 65 door slabs that were originally white on the inside to match the oak pattern on the external face.

'This process has taken our spray technicians some months to master and they have spent day after day training on the application proceedure and have succeeded to such a degree that some of our clients have asked us to colour the original oak side because they felt that our finish was far more realistic to oak than the original side.' says Gary Copperthwaite, M.D 'As the industry knows, most if not all composite doors are white on the reverse of the slab but more customers require colour matched doors or even a totally different colour on the reverse.'

Kolorseal can offer over 1500 colour options including grained effects such as oak, rosewood and mahogany and will usually turn these products around within 5 working days. Most recently Kolorseal had a customer who unfortunately supplied 25 windows with the wrong woodgrained colour and asked if the company could help. Kolorseal recoloured all the frames from rosewood to oak in 3 days and re-delivered them to the customer who then completed the contract on time and with minimum cost and disruption.

Kolorseal can colour coat almost anything within the PVCu industry using the very latest paints and techniques including trickle vents, drain cover caps, cill end caps and stick on georgian bar.
