New Managerial Profile for Profine

European manufacturer of PVCu profile for the window and door industry, profine, has today announced new management appointments as part of the Group’s continued growth in the UK and Ireland.

Hans Pabst, currently Managing Director of profine UK Limited, is to become responsible for special projects worldwide. Hans will report directly to the incoming Group Managing Director in Germany, yet to be appointed, who will be responsible for sales and marketing on a Group level.

Robert Thiroff will replace Hans as the new Managing Director of profine UK with effect from 1st May 2008. With more than 16 years experience in senior management roles in the window profile sector, Robert has a very strong sales and marketing background which is seen as crucial to profine’s continuing success in the UK and Irish markets.

In making these announcements, Marco von Maltzan, profine Group’s CEO, said:

Hans’ vast experience in our industry, in addition to developing new markets, makes him the ideal person to take on responsibility for special projects including cross-border and cross-functional projects.

'I am confident that Robert Thiroff, working with the existing UK team, will develop our strategy for both the KBE and Kömmerling brands, building on the strong business base already achieved and the growing network of fabricators.'

These appointments are further evidence that profine is committed to the UK market, having invested in both the KBE and Kömmerling systems recently and successfully launching new products at Glassex earlier this month.
