Peter Lisec Receives the Distinguished Service Cross of the Republic of Austria

Every year, Austrian President Heinz Fischer awards badges of honour to individuals of the Austrian Economy for their significant contributions to the economic development of the Republic of Austria. During a celebration at the Ministry of Economics and Labour Minister Bartenstein handed over to CC Mr. Peter Lisec the ‘Great Award for Contributions to the Republic of Austria’. CC Mr. Peter Lisec is the founder and owner of the LISEC Group of Companies International, based in Hausmening/Seitenstetten.

CC Mr. Peter Lisec founded his company on October 20th, 1961 as a one-man-operation. Through his entrepreneurial attitude, long-term strategic view and numerous inventions in insulating glass fabrication, CC Mr. Peter Lisec developed his company into the worldwide leading manufacturer of machines and plants for the glass industry. Currently the LISEC Group of Companies has a global presence and is represented by approximately 2000 employees in 52 subsidiaries all around the world.

In 1976, CC Mr. Peter Lisec received the permission to bear the ‘State Crest of the Republic of Austria’ from the Ministry of Economics and Labour, 1989 the Austrian President granted Mr. Peter Lisec the title of ‘Councillor of Commerce’ for his remarkable commercial success and in 2007 Lisec received the ‘Austrian Innovation Award’ for the revolutionary ‘flat-bed’ glass tempering technology.
