National Plastics First Annual Conference

National Plastics the distribution division of Burles Group plc held it's first annual conference recently. Held against the background of doom and gloom from national press and industry gossip Geoff Foster, Distribution Division Director, was able to report significant sales and margin growth for the year just gone.

Attended by depot staff from all over the country as well as head office staff and suppliers the delegates were treated to a number of presentations on the sector by suppliers and to an address by David Burles Chairman of Burles Group plc.

Geoff Foster commented ‘We've made significant progress in 2007 and enter 2008 leaner and if anything more focussed on giving our customers excellent products and service, that's what is important in any market. We intend to make sure we help our customers to be winners in 2008 in what is sure to be a tough game. We have significant expectations for the coming year, based not on luck or market growth but based on beating the market and being our customers' supplier of choice.’

David Burles commented ‘I'd like to congratulate Geoff and all the team, they've done a great job and we have high expectations for them in 2008.’ Closing the evening was a charity raffle that raised over £1000.00 for cancer research.
