Game, Set and Match from Hurst

Hurst Plastics says that it has once again bucked the trend and marked its commitment to its network of fabricators by offering them a unique and flexible package for the company's Rhino composite door.

The move comes in a challenging climate where many fabricators are keen to increase their sales and profitability. With the aim of adding real value for fabricators, Hurst is offering its Rhino door in three different options - as an unglazed, prepped door slab, a glazed prepped door slab and a complete door set.

Samantha Kerr, Hurst Plastics' marketing manager, explains: ‘We are always looking to improve our offering to the fabricator and maintain our position as a leader in the field. We are pleased to have created a package that will suit their individual needs and help them to grow and prosper.’

Fabricators can benefit from the convenience of buying a complete door set and frame from Hurst with all the glazing and hardware fitted or they can choose to maximise their profitability by purchasing a pre-cut door and adding their own glass, frame, locking system and door furniture. Hurst can even supply the door leaf on its own, manufactured and prepped to a specific size and specification.

‘The beauty of the package is that it does not require any additional investment from the fabricator’ adds Sam. Furthermore Hurst is able to provide additional product training and marketing support where necessary.

Hurst's new £100,000 CNC (Computerised Numeric Control) routing machine enables Hurst to manufacture more than 300 Rhino composite doors a week and provide a fast and reliable service to fabricators. The second such machine uses the very latest technology to machine all the door cut outs for glazing and door furniture in less than five minutes per door.

Thanks to the new machine as well as Hurst's delivery network and stockholding capacity, the Rhino door set is manufactured within ten working days, whilst a door slab is manufactured in only five working days.
