TwentyFour-Seven
from Swish Records 'Rapid' Growth
Swish Window and Door Systems has reported a significant
new business win to sign leading fabricator Rapid Frame to its new advanced
TwentyFour-Seven system.
Supporting
its own established installer network, a unique brand and a turnover of
more than 600 units per week, the trade fabricator selected Swish to support
its ambitions for major future growth.
Martin Corcoran, managing director, Rapid Frame said: We're looking
to grow and have set ourselves the target of hitting 2,000 units per week
within five years and we wanted a system supplier that we felt could support
us in achieving that aim.
We had considered Swish on a couple of earlier occasions but felt
that the launch of TwentyFour-Seven meant that time was now right to make
the change.
The £6.5million TwentyFour-Seven system from Swish, was launched
in summer last year, going into production on schedule at the beginning
of this. The system has a number of technical and aesthetic qualities
designed to support fabricators and installers differentiate their ranges
in a rapidly shifting market.
This includes 'modern' curved lines designed to appeal to the growing
consumer trend for shaped designs, while it is also available in a number
of foiled finishes in addition to standard white. Safety and security
features include dedicated internal beading and fully integrated locks
and handles.
The system also features a number of built in 'quick wins' for fabricators
and installers. It also includes a five chamber system coupled with unique
low line gasket that helps the suite to secure maximum glass area making
it much easier to achieve an 'A' class energy rating. Other efficiencies
designed to make fabrication and installation easier and faster include
self-locating hardware, clip-in glazing bridges and a pre-gasketing system.
Martin said: Technically one of the advantages that we could see
was that the system would still be familiar to our fabrication team and
network installers while delivering a number of production advantages.
We also felt that its 'clean' design would have major consumer appeal
whether sold as a 'classic' or 'modern' product.
There was also a 'fit' between Rapid's plan's to grow its own Formula
One brand and the brand strength delivered by Swish. While the technical
element played a part we recognised that we could mobilise Swish's brand
strength to support and grow our own brand through association,
said Martin.
The fabricator becomes the latest of a rapidly growing number of businesses
to sign-up to the TwentyFour-Seven system which recorded in excess of
£1million of new business.
Paul Lindsay, general manager, Swish Window and Door Systems, said: Signing
a fabricator the calibre of Rapid Frame is testimony to the value that
the industry sees in the Swish brand and the TwentyFour-Seven system.
We have looked at each and every aspect of our business, whether
the new TwentyFour-Seven suite or Traditional 70 to see where we can add
value to support the fabricators and installers against the backdrop of
changing market conditions.
This and our ongoing research and development programme puts our
business and by implication our customers businesses at the forefront
of industry innovation.
This technical innovation coupled with our brand strength is a powerful
combination in an increasingly retail focussed market place.
