Pilkington
energiKare Hits the Road
The
Pilkington energiKare evolution has stepped up a gear now that Nijman-Zeetank,
one of the UK hauliers for Pilkington, has had eight of its floatliners
branded with the logo of the new energy efficient insulating glass unit.
With
a fleet of 130 vehicles, which can each carry up to 25 tonnes of glass,
Nijman-Zeetank delivers glass from the Pilkington manufacturing facilities
in St Helens to merchants and processors across the country. The Pilkington
energiKare design and website address now feature on the rear door
of the haulier companys vehicles.
Anne Quayle, Marketing and Sales Support Manager, Pilkington, said: 'Our
vehicles are moving advertising opportunities and have been very helpful
over the years in reinforcing our product brands, such as, Pilkington
K Glass and Pilkington Activ to raise awareness with people
across the country. The delivery of new floatliners is a great way for
us to introduce our new logo to householders up and down the UK.'
Following a successful trade campaign, which has included a nationwide
tour attended by more than 350 window companies, and the launch of a consumer
website with a host of energy saving tips and information, the floatliners
branding is the next step in a campaign to increase public awareness of
Pilkington energiKare. Television advertisements for the IGU will
be shown across the country in February 2008.
In conjunction with most framing materials, Pilkington energiKare
meets the requirements of Energy Saving Recommended Scheme set out by
the Energy Saving Trust. It easily exceeds the requirements for compliance
of Part L of Building Regulations and there is minimal process change
for processors, helping window fabricators and installers achieve a Window
Energy Rating (WER) of at least a C, hassle free.
