All Time Production Record at Phoenix Door Panels

November 2007 was a landmark month for PVC-U door panel production at Phoenix Door Panels - one of the UK's largest privately-owned composite and PVC-U door panel manufacturers - contributing to a 17% overall year-on-year sales growth.

From its Somersham site in Cambridgeshire, output for one day in November totalled nearly 500 panels - the best ever. Another record for weekly production was hit in late November/early December with an output of 1,471 feature panels - only to be beaten the following week when the total exceeded 1,550 feature panels. The best fortnight for orders in the company's history!

Managing Director Neil Peck and National Sales Manager Haydon Statham are delighted with the figures. ‘We have grown the business in a flat market by gaining market share, while still maintaining high standards of quality, delivery and customer service,’ commented Neil. ‘We predicted we would do it and we are proud to achieve it.’

The firm attributes its market-beating performance to a combination of new customers and major investment in new plant and machinery that has further improved its already efficient manufacturing practices. Investment included a third glue line that enabled Phoenix to maintain consistent and stable growth, but not at the expense of compromising customer service or product quality.

‘It's a great result and a tribute to the efforts of all our hard-working employees,’ says Haydon. ‘The new equipment has increased both capacity and efficiency to meet rising demand from customers, as well as introducing more flexibility into the production process, which has facilitated our business growth.’
