Network VEKA Welcomes a Record Eight... and Evicts One

Network VEKA is celebrating a record intake of eight new members accepted at the latest Steering Group meeting.

But the same body reinforced the organisation's commitment to upholding standards by suspending one existing member.

The eight new members, including two in Ireland, are especially welcome in today's industrial climate, according to Membership Executive Amy Steven (pictured).

‘It shows that more and more businesses recognise the benefit of being supported within a group structure like Network VEKA,’ she said.

‘But with increasing casualties throughout the industry, it also shows we are able to keep numbers up ahead of the decline.’

One of the eight is a returning former member. Lancashire fabricator Sovereign is relaunching its Sovereign Direct trade division and will now be able to offer customers a route to gaining their own membership.

Also joining are three other fabricator/installers, Stevenswood of Livingston, Jones Window Systems, St Helens; Logik Window & Door Co, Hinckley; and four installers, Central Scotland Joinery, Grangemouth; P&M Sinclair Conservatories, Edinburgh; Castle Glass, Castlederg, Co Tyrone, And Carpentry Plus of Trim, Co Meath, RoI.

Every membership application must be approved by the organisation's elected Steering Group, which meets six times a year.

The suspended company has been contacted and will cease using the organisation's imagery, literature and guarantees but all its existing Network VEKA guarantees will of course remain valid.
