GAP Expands Glass Production

Home improvement stockist and door panel manufacturer GAP has expanded glass production at its manufacturing facility in Blackburn.

The 23,000 sq ft production facility will allow GAP to keep ahead of demand for its popular door panel ranges Cosmopolitan and Perfection.

Production Manager Andy Gill comments:

‘We produce around 3,000 door panels a week. With so many glass designs for our doors we saw the need to expand the glass production line to stay ahead of the growth in demand.

'The expansion also means that customers continue to get the highest level of quality.’

Cosmopolitan offers homeowners a choice of more than 140 doors, ranging from intricate leaded glass to traditional classics.

Perfection is a contemporary range of PVC-U glazed doors.

Handcrafted glass is made into stunning designs to allow the light to fully shine through.

Unlike conventional decorative glass there's no lead around each of the glass shapes.

The individual pieces of bevelled glass are applied directly onto the textured side of the glass and encapsulated within the sealed unit.
