Keeping Up Appearances for City Glass Showrooms

Appearance is everything for Bristol-based City Glass Company Ltd which has been busy smartening up both of its showrooms.

The fabricator, which uses KBE Window Systems PVC-u profile, has seen the arrival of new display stands plus the complete redecoration of its conservatories, including the installation of new roofs, at both its headquarters showroom on Fishponds Road and at its Henleaze Road showroom.

Kevin Cole, Managing Director of City Glass comments, 'These showrooms are located in lovely old buildings. The Henleaze site was formerly a branch of Barclays Bank and our Fishponds Road site used to be an old grain mill. But whilst their appearance on the outside remains the same, both interiors have changed significantly and now even more so with the renovation of the showrooms.'

'We took the decision to improve on the appearance of both sites mainly because the showrooms had remained in the same condition since we acquired them fifteen and twenty years ago respectively. We are always looking to improve the company and value the development of our showrooms as being of equal importance to investing in machinery or achieving the latest quality standards.'

City Glass uses its showrooms to display its full range of products which include windows, doors and conservatories. Established in 1964, it supplies the trade and domestic markets in the Bristol area, with previous work completed for local housing associations, Avon Fire Brigade and even the Duchy of Cornwall.

James Robinson, Sales Director for KBE comments, 'We like to see our product shown off to its best advantage and City Glass has certainly achieved this in its renovated showrooms. The most impressive work is displayed by the conservatories in which City Glass has had some outstanding customer results. The showrooms provide potential customers with the opportunity to see examples of this work without having to leave the premises.'

City Glass Company Ltd manufactures between 50 to 70 windows per week using the KBE MarkV 58mm chamfered PVC-u system. Benefits of this include a three-chamber structure with effective thermal insulation, sound insulation and an attractive appearance with various woodgrain and coloured finishes.
