The anticipated completion in Spring 2009 of a 140,000sq ft profile extrusion and painting facility at their existing 120,000sq ft warehouse and offices near Bristol will give Smart's a state of the art integrated development, manufacturing and logistical operation all located at one site.

'We will be offering an increased and far more responsive service all across the board', Eddie Robinson explains. 'Our customers will benefit significantly from the shortest lead times and most efficient service offered by any profile supplier in the UK. Lead times will be reduced to a matter of days instead of weeks; even special painted orders will be turned around far quicker than anyone is currently able to deliver. We will have complete quality control throughout the manufacturing process, and by integrating in this way we will be able to reduce waste and the requirement for long distance haulage by an estimated 500,000 miles per year. Looking at the bigger picture we will be far more responsive to industry developments and new trends, placing Smart's at the forefront of the fenestration industry'.
