New Davex Beams Now Available Through Schüco Jansen

Thanks to an exclusive marketing and distribution agreement with Schüco Jansen Steel Systems, British architects looking for an attractive and practical alternative to conventional IPE beams and add-on façade constructions can now specify the DAVEX range of profiles from Thyssen Krupp.

Completely compatible with Schüco Jansen-VISS fully insulated steel glazing systems and available in 50 mm and 60 mm face-widths, the special slimline, sharp-edged beams are pierced with holes that flood a room with complex patterns of light and shadows. The result is a steel beam that is both structurally strong and architecturally interesting.

DAVEX beams have already been successfully used - in conjunction with a conventional Jansen-VISS façade - to create 8-metre-long single-span mullions at the 'Factory of the Future with Rolls-Royce', part of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, a world-class research facility at the University of Sheffield.
