Oktopus UK Relocates to Expand Business

Oktopus UK, sole distributor of Oktopus suction lifting devices and vacuum lilting machines, has relocated to a new 10,000 square feet premises in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire to develop its research and training facilities.

With its new enlarged premises, Oktopus is expanding its offering. This includes training facilities and a demonstration yard to educate users on how to operate suction lifting equipment correctly and to inform the construction industry about health and safety issues.

To remain proactive in the ongoing development of suction lifting equipment Oktopus has also expanded its research department. The cad development unit will be used to design new applications for lifting equipment to meet the latest installation challenges.

Richard Gould, Managing Director and sole distributing agent for the Oktopus brand of suction lifting machines since 1995, comments:

'We are dedicated to driving forward the message that all suction lifting machines must incorporate a dual system for the suction operation. Our new premises allow us to demonstrate our machinery, which are all compliant with new legislation, and educate users on best practice of installation. It also allows us to expand our team for the necessary on-going development of suction lifting equipment.'

Oktopus UK has a current operational fleet of 70 machines for the installation of roofing, cladding and glazing, plus innovative Compact Crane solutions such as the Klaas trailer crane and a range of mini crawler cranes. All cranes are available for self operation, driver operated or full contract lifting services.
