Lister
Joins the British Plastics Federation
Manufacturer Lister Trade Frames Ltd has now become
a member of the British Plastics Federation, the chief trade association
of the UK Plastics Industry.
As
well as providing a valuable platform for action the BPF Group Network
draws together specific sectors of the industry forming a dedicated information
loop and networking forum. This gives Lister the ability to input or raise
industry concerns and play a constructive role in the development of legislation
and standards.
The new membership means that Lister now receives weekly updates regarding
new Legislation, Legal support, Sales leads, Reduced Cost Training, and
help in addressing Energy Costs. The BPF also offers many other informative
and developmental services that Lister will now have access to, which
in turn will benefit the companys customers.
On behalf of the BPF, Tim Marsden, Industrial Issues Executive for Construction
said,
We are very pleased that Lister has decided to join the BPF and
strengthen the Windows Group brand. Lister has a good reputation in the
market place and the companys membership will not only help the
BPF understand the 'sharp-end' of the market but will also help Lister
to promote itself with the wide range of tools we provide.
With environmental concerns a top priority for Lister the new membership
provides the company with the opportunity to challenge some of the unfounded
anti-plastics rhetoric by highlighting PVCu's environmental credentials.
Lister is keen to make this case in order to clarify the benefits of PVCu
for the public and commercial sectors.
Sustainability is a key BPF topic at the moment and the new membership
allows Lister to gain further access to advanced, forward-looking issues,
supporting the companys proactive approach and helping it to maintain
its position at the forefront of energy efficiency and environmental management.
Mark Warren, Managing Director at Lister, is looking forward to the extra
benefits that the membership will bring,
Joining the BPF demonstrates our determination to stay ahead of
and influence industry developments. We are positive that the BPF will
best represent our interests and the interests of our customers and are
pleased that the leading trade association will be working on our behalf,
alongside other plastics businesses, to exploit common opportunities and
resolve shared problems in the industry.
With our industry undergoing unprecedented change, Lister believes that
being at the forefront of developments with the BPF will ensure that the
company and its customers continue to thrive.
