Web, Log and Blog at K2

K2 has just launched a web log at www.k2blog.co.uk, embracing the latest trends in internet social media and making what may be considered as yet another ‘industry first.’

The blog is a new form of communication that originated as part of a wider network of social media as the huge success of YouTube has shown, but is now being harnessed by the business community. K2's web log takes the form of online streaming video on the front end of the website and is the first in a number of further web logs that are designed to communicate the people, passion and products at the company.

In the first blog, managing director Sally Fielding and sales director Charles Fox, discuss the key features and benefits of K2's latest aluminium system which is already proving popular with installers, consumers and the industry as a whole. This will prove a particularly interesting way to see two leading figures in the conservatory sector discuss a new product, harnessing the very latest technology - it's a very candid video presentation and informative blog.

The web log, or in this instance, the K2 video blog is another marketing tool and a further move to opening up a one to one relationship with the consumer or trade customer. Personal selling has always been a fundamental part of the glazing industry and this web log goes some way towards interacting with the customer in a similar manner.

Sally Fielding, managing director and active participant in the blogs comments: ‘This is a very dynamic way of interaction and could be the start of further blogging across the industry. It's an important means of communication and we have a history of building and maintaining strong customer relationships. This is just another means of cementing our reputation.’

If you didn't think that the world was blogging then think again, as of September 2007, blog search engine Technorati was tracking more than 106 million blogs. So go and get a blogging at http://www.k2blog.co.uk!
