Shepley
has the Edge
Shepley Windows and Conservatories has just completed its first month
back in action under its new management team of Dave Howard, Tim Walker
and Tony Fry.
The
company has begun fabricating in REHAU profile once again at its Manchester
factory and is producing a comprehensive range of doors and windows in
both the 70mm S706 and fully sculptured REHAU Edge systems.
Sales Director Tim Walker says the response from customers to the new
company has so far been excellent. He says: We have been really
encouraged by the response from the marketplace to the return of the 'old'
Shepley. Customers seem genuinely pleased that the company has returned
to its roots and both sales and output are on target.
We have been particularly impressed with sales of the REHAU Edge
system which in our first month accounted for 50% of our sales volume.
This far exceeded our expectations and we will be looking to maximise
the opportunity which this has created for us.
REHAU Edge is a fully sculptured version of REHAU's S706 70mm system.
It was launched towards the end of 2005 to give customers a premium option
for the domestic replacement market in particular. It has a slimmer, softer
appearance than a conventional chamfered profile and produces a more sophisticated
looking window. A natural progression from the ever popular S706, it allows
trade fabricators to offer a choice of window styles to help their installers
secure business.
Shepley is fabricating in REHAU Edge in white, Rosewood and Golden Oak
and is offering a nationwide 5-7 day delivery service.
Tim Walker adds: REHAU Edge is already a popular system with a proven
reputation. It is helping us to retain existing Shepley customers as well
as to win new business and is providing an excellent platform for our
future plans.
