Hillmead Joinery Arson - Appeal

A four figure reward is being offered for information that leads to a conviction following an arson at Hillmead Joinery on Marshall Road, Swindon, which occurred on Sunday 10th Feb between 3.00 pm and 5.00 pm.

The two cars pictured in the CCTV images attached were seen at the location during these times. Police are appealing for information on the drivers / occupants or for any information that might help the investigation.

 

The fire caused damage to the metal external wall building and quickly spread, setting alight an extractor unit and nearby skips, causing up to £50,000 worth of damage. Both Swindon Police and Swindon Fire and Rescue attended the scene and it took 20 fire officers to put out the fire.

PC 1989 Lawrence Copeland said: ‘I would like to hear from anyone who has information regarding the arson or the two cars. The owners are offering up to £1000 reward for any information that leads to a conviction and we hope that these images will help us identify the offenders.’
